Garland Consulting, LLC
Established as a sole proprietorship in 1994 in San Antonio,
Texas by owner, T. Michael Garland. In 1996 Mr. Garland
moved to Lubbock, Texas. On February 4, 2009 the form of
ownership was converted to its current status as a Limited
Liability Company in the state of Texas. The company is
currently in the process of moving to Ponte Vedra, Florida.
T. Michael Garland
After graduating from Texas Tech University in December
1981 with a BBA-Finance degree, Mr. Garland began his
career as a bank examiner with the Office of the Comptroller
of the Currency (OCC) in west Texas and eastern New Mexico
(Lubbock, Amarillo & Midland Duty Stations).
In 1986 Mr. Garland temporarily got off the road to work for
Century National Bank a $100MM community bank in Austin,
Texas. Duties included SBA lending, compliance, and
regulatory reporting requirements under the bank's formal
agreement with the OCC.
In 1987 Garland accepted a position as a Senior Loan Review
Officer in the Austin office of First City Bancorporation of
Texas (First City), a multi-billion dollar bank holding company
based in Houston, Texas. After performing loan reviews for
First City in their banks primarily located in the western half of
Texas (Austin, San Antonio, Midland, San Angelo, El Paso,
Corpus Christi, Aransas Pass, Bryan/College Station,
Madisonville, & Houston), Mr. Garland moved to Little Rock,
Arkansas in 1993 and accepted a postion with Worthen
Banking Corporation, a multi-billion dollar bank holding
company, as Vice President & Loan Review Manager.
